Friends use to have a regular one a month meeting of only females to be creative. They called it Goddess Night. From what I heard it was mostly writing or sometimes making collages. I have been thinking about it alot lately because I know things have come up and these friends have not had a Goddess night in awhile. I think they miss it. I have had this idea of making collages out of stickers. I have ALOT of stickers because I love to collect them. I found meaning in them when I decided to decorate my food diary with them.

If I plan this anyone out there interested? I was thinking about having it in Lexington on the night of Feb 23rd. I would want RSVPs, and have people bring whatever stickers they could scrounge up

Other ideas for goddess nights.. Friendship bracelet making. Maybe having a good friend teach us how. :) Jewelry/necklace stringing. And of course writing.

As one of the Goddesses you're talking about who have done this in the past ;) yes, I do miss it. And, I would be interested in going to one in Lex as well, though I don't know if I could come every time (though having it the Friday before the Lex munch would increase that chance). I'm pretty sure we're coming to the munch this month though, so I could probably make it to that one.

Oooh...stickers! I buy them very sporadically now, but I still have a largish collection from my young-adult years (~12-16) when my friends and I collected and gambled them (yeah...I started young...Blackjack, Acey-Deucey, Poker... :) I think a Goddess Night with stickers and maybe friendship bracelets, or maybe picture-frame decorating (you can get cheap ones at alot of dollar stores) or something. That would be fun! Put me on your invite list! ~L.

I like the idea in principle, but that particular Saturday I can't vouch for my sanity. I'll be working a chess tournament from early morning through early evening, and probably will have to give the Lexington munch a miss this month.
I'd probably be a veggie at a Goddess Night -- don't know how creative I'd be, but I'd be ready for adult company after a day of wrangling kids.

If you schedule it for Saturday, which is the day you mentioned, I'm mostly likely able out of that weekend: I need to get to bed early the night before the tournament, and we've got tentative plans for getting together with Flar's family on Sunday. (Tentative, pending his presence in this country and his brother's plans)

I think it's a neat idea!

Oh sure, point out that I don't know how to read a calendar. ;) Just chalk it up to my (no longer new) scatterbrain syndrome, I guess.

Making it Saturday night means scheduling co-ordination, but I do have some stickers that I've been wanting to use but haven't had anything to put them on (ok, one set I had plans for, but never got around to doing it, and that particular notebook is currently not in use as it was the notebook I was charting my cycle in).
