Doctor's appt

I went to the doc today and she made me feel rushed. She doesnt normally do that. There must have been something going on. I mentioned the new pills are not working, so she changed the meds again. She agreed that I probably didnt gain 7lbs in 2 weeks. Even with the holidays. Probably water retention because of the meds not working. I go in tomorrow morning early to get a chest x-ray, and blood drawn from some tests. No biggie. Then I have a follow up on the 18th to make sure the new combo is working. *sighs* The only problem thus far is that the pills she has me on I have to cut in half. They are a bitch to cut. They can crumble if you are not careful, and they are not a nice shape. I will have to mention that to her. She said we will probably have to up the dose anyway. I bought a pill cutter thinking it would work great. NOPE. I just have to hope there isnt alot of medicine in the crumbled off pieces. *grump*

Can you put them in applesauce? My mom used to do this when we were kids with pills that crumbled so that she could still use the "broken bits" (to save money).

Just wondering.. I know pills/insurance/etc can be an issue (at least it is for us).

Don't use them; they're not sharp enough and they WILL crumble the pills. I use a sharp razor blade, the old fashioned stropping kind. It works pretty well and rarely crumbles the pills.
