Kitty Problems
Dec. 18th, 2002 09:58 pmI am not good with stress that is directly related to me and my family. When something starts to go wrong I FREAK! Today something almost went very wrong.
I was carrying in stuff from the car and Mr Melodie Man (shithead) scooted out into the yard. Usually we can catch him fairly quickly and toss him back inside. Today he had other ideas. He trotted beside the house and down the fence line. He went into the small area between the fence and our next door neighbor's garage. I followed for a really tight squeeze. I went as far as I could, but then my way was blocked with 3 fence posts He was able to get by them and into the junk yard area of the yard. I called pleaded with him to come back to me. I yelled with panic full in my voice to Jeshua and he ran. He got treats and we tried shaking them. I saw my cat run across an area and out of my sight. I ran out and then around the street to see if he went between the yards. Finally I hear Jeshua yell that he has him. I am almost in tears. I need a hug and then I took Mr Melodie Man from Jeshua. I smacked him lightly across the nose then hugged him tight as he growled alittle. I got into the house and wouldnt put him down. I buried my face in his fur as I tried to calm down.
His punishment consisted of him having to eat in the same room with the other 3 cats. He usually gets his food in the kitchen, and the other 3 get fed in the dining room. I also think it will be a week before he gets another car ride. Melodie doesnt wear a collar, but he is chipped, so that would be good. The humane society would have a record of his chip since we got him from them. Of course that wouldnt have mattered if he never got taken to the humane society. He could have headed out to broadway and gotten hit by a car. *whine* *breathe* But he is home and safe after only about 15 minutes of scare. It felt alot longer though.
