Friday Night Fun

Last night was lots of fun. Went over to Ka's place to hang out and help him celebrate his birthday which is actually today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! We got there a bit early, and I felt really bad but he assured me it was ok. I brought a helium balloon, brownies and cards. It was Phaeton, Jeshua and I that went. We watched some stand up while waiting for others to get there. Finally the whole pack arrived and we headed out to the movies. We were unable to make the 9:30 showing of Goblet of Fire, so we were hoping for the 10 showing of Narnia. First stop was Lexington Green to find out that the movie was sold out. We then decided to trek over to Regal and try our luck. Narnia was sold out there. The good thing was that Goblet of Fire had a 10:35 show that was not sold out. We got out of the movie at about 1:15 and then headed over to Steak and Shake for food. Cheese and more cheese for me with grilled cheese and cheesy fries. I was almost the walking dead by that point and just found an open seat at the table which ended up being all the way on the other end from Phaeton and Jeshua, but Kilroy was across from me which was nice. People went back to Ka's and partied some, but we had to head home. Got home about 2:30am and feel asleep. *snore*

Now for the sad news

I was in the middle of writing the last post when my mom called. She got a call this morning from her sister-in-law because her brother Dave had died last night. He was 58. He has been in poor health for awhile now with being on dialysis and losing his eyesight. Last night he went into the hospital because of breathing problems and the catherization had complications. That is about all my mom knows at this point. I was not close to my uncle, but still it is a shock. Makes me think about my mom and dad and realizing they are getting old as well. Just going to be a quiet day today I think.
