Now for the sad news

I was in the middle of writing the last post when my mom called. She got a call this morning from her sister-in-law because her brother Dave had died last night. He was 58. He has been in poor health for awhile now with being on dialysis and losing his eyesight. Last night he went into the hospital because of breathing problems and the catherization had complications. That is about all my mom knows at this point. I was not close to my uncle, but still it is a shock. Makes me think about my mom and dad and realizing they are getting old as well. Just going to be a quiet day today I think.

I'm sorry for your loss. Even though you weren't close you are bound to have some feelings, even if it's just facing death...I hope your mom is alright. this has to be more sad and scary for her. 58 is very young to die.

One bad thing is that my mom can not get up there for the funeral. I really think she should go, but no idea how to do it. Right now though we do not know any arrangements.
