I'm Back!

Did you miss me? :) I have basically done a skim catch up of about 120 entries. I will have to go to one journal and answer all the polls in a bit. :) I had alot of fun and I am very very tired.

Cats

Both Melodie and Strife seem to be having eye problems. They are still eating and acting fine, but blinking alot or some drainage. *sighs* I have to work tomorrow. I really want Melodie to go in. I know it is just allergies from all the dirt and dust that has been kicked up around the house while I was gone, but I am a worried parent. I am going to have Jeshua and Phaeton take him in the morning to get him something to help. I will have them mention Strife.

My poor kitties.

Sleep at the con

I did find a place to crash on friday night which was very good. Thurs night I got about 5 hours of sleep before getting up to head for the con. I was up till 3:30 where I finally crashed on a futon. Another dragonstorm who lives in town was in the last game of the night and didnt have a ride home. He was going to take a bus but they stopped running at midnite. He was figuring he would wait till the buses started again at 6:30am and then go home to get some sleep. I offered again at 1:30 as we were eating some food to drive him home if he would let me crash on his couch. He agreed and we went to his parents place (he was an 18 y/o home from college for the summer kid) I got some sleep from 3:30-6am where I heard the chimes on a clock, and then finally got up at 7am with the chimes again. He was not functional yet, so I headed back to go to a panel at 9am.

Sat night I took a short nap on the floor in one of the halls from 8-9. I headed home at 1 after my last game and decided it wasnt worth getting a hotel room even if I could find a cheap one. I stopped at the rest area about mile marker 65, and then the one at mile marker 33 on the way down I-71 from Columbus to Cincinnati. I got about 1-2 hours of sleep at each of the rest areas. I read the rules and you can only stay at a rest area for 3 hours, and no loitering. They do ask that you sign a sheet that I never found if you are planning to sleep. *shrugs*

I finally got home about 8:30, 7 hours after I left Columbus. That means I got close to 4 hours of sleep since it is a 3 hour drive normally.

So I had a nice safe and sound trip. Alot of fun, and very little sleep. Time for bed.
