demarianaWhy yes this is my 3rd post of the day. *grins* I am not catholic but I find giving something up for Lent interesting. Last year I did not do well with giving up eating after 8pm. This year I really did not want something food related to give up. I am already doing really well with my food diary and exercise and adding something like that I think would have caused me problems. I did not want to sabotage myself. Because of this I had to really think of something to give up. I settled on computer games. I play Solitaire and Free Cell A LOT and a couple of facebook games will suck my time away.
So now I have been trying to figure out things to do instead since Wednesday. I have read a book and also did some surfing on some sites. As you can see I have become post happy on LJ. I knew that today and tomorrow are going to be the hard days. I cleaned up in the living room while Skunkie and Phaeton were out. Soon I may go out to Target and a couple of other places. I know I want to plan maybe some activities. Bowling sounds like a plan for one day. The thing is that the only thing really 'left' for me is to spend money. I am not playing computer games. I am not eating out. My last 'vice' is spending money. I have been good about it though and mostly getting things I need. Today I ordered a new bathing suit and 2 shirts from just my size. I need a new suit since mine is starting to breakdown from the chlorine. The suit was on sale and I also had a code for free shipping. :) Now the things that I have gotten that I do not need have been scratch off lottery tickets. That is only about $5/week though.
Ok, time to head out to Target or nap. Still deciding.
