Damn, they ruined a good book. From the first 10 minutes I was like this is going to SUCK and I was so right. I should have checked how long the movie was before going to see it. The movie to do the book justice would have to be at least 2.5 hours and it is only 104 minutes. They cut out so much that was what made the book good. I just want to scream how I wasted 104 minutes. UGH!!!!

If they really really like the book I would honestly see if you can talk them out of seeing it. Check some of the reviews on movies.com I wish I had. *grins* But of course it might do them some good to be able to see a movie based on a book that is not good. Just to see how they can mess up a good book.
