demarianaMy hair is all bouncy. *grins* Today I called the Dillards in Turfland Mall and made Caritas and I appointments to get our hair done. I explained on the phone that we both needed cuts, and Caritas would probably need a deep conditioning since she has had hair damage. I also explained the issue we had yesterday at Fayette Mall. I told the woman that we were willing to give Dillard's a 2nd chance, just not the one in Fayette Mall. Our stylist today was a treat. She was great. She gave me a nice cut that I will enjoy. She gave Caritas's hair the attention it has been needing without any attitude. She and the receptionist apologized for the other Salon and said they would mention it to their manager. The stylist also mentioned that this is not the first time this has happened. I think if we go to Dillards from now on for anything it will only be to the Turfland mall. I prefer going to Turfland anyway. It has all I need- Walgreens, Staples, Waldenbooks, and some other small stores. After our styles we treated ourselves to lunch out at O'Charley's. Yum.

I've found that calling beforehand and literally asking--saying "I am a very large woman, will the <blank--stylists/pedicurist/masseuse/salesman> have a problem with that? If so, that's fine... I like to check beforehand, I've run into some problems in the past." They'll say no, and then you ask they make a note in your file---if you truly think it might be an issue.
They will ALLLways say no, and almost always give you excellent service when you go in.
Oh, and no matter what dayspa places say? Take your own bathrobe, theirs never fit, even if they think they will.
