I have printed out some copies of my old resume to try and update them. I talked to 2 of my supervisors to find out if I could use them as references. No problem on that front. One also suggested that I make sure I talk about the fact that I was used to help train new hires and to test out new features and products before they went into full use.

I am still in awe over seeing the Peregrine last night. I so hope it comes back. We see such interesting wildlife. We have squirrels, birds, groundhogs, cats, opossums, and many other things running around in this 'urban' area. I love the icon Caritas made for me.

I have been scanning career builder just to see what is out there. I mentioned that I might have a hard time going to interviews and my supervisor suggested that I try for at lunch so that I can get back in time. That might be doable if I get some interviews.

I gave Jeshua's teacher the severance package to look at since he is a lawyer. He said he would email Jeshua once he has given it his once or twice over.

I have tomorrow off from work. I also have a 1/2 day on July 15th. That is for 2 dental procedures. What fun. I have the week of Labor Day off, but thinking about giving up those days so I can have some to spread out over the last couple of months.

I will admit I am almost paralyzed with fear and anger and depression. It is hard to get up each and every day knowing that it is one day closer to not having a job. I do not want to be stuck again in something that I like, but that does not have a future. I want to be able to be happy in a job. I enjoy customer service but I almost want to do customer detective work. I sell my skills short though. I do not think I am worth as much as others think. It is hard to reach for the stars when you think you are only worth mud.

You might try something with my company---Vascor in Georgetown. I'm not sure if it could work into your schedule, but if it could--we're a pretty good one to work for. The most common openings are for check calls with truckers--a form of dispatching, really. Basic computer, and customer service is what it really is. Starting pay is--I don't know, $10.50? Sometimes it's temp-to-hire, and sometimes it's just hire... temp-to is more common, but they DO hire so there's that.

You'll want to go through the receptionist, which is option 8. You're looking to see if there're openings in the Customer Service Center (CSC).

Hmmm... also, I know recently Georgetown PD had an opening for a dispatcher.
