Time travel dream
I am a woman in my 20's who is trying to save her parents marriage or make them remember why they fell in love. I decide to go back in time to when they met to try and explain what will happen in the future if they do not change. (damn it is already going) I go back to the 40's and meet my parents and others. I call one person by a nickname we had for him and it causes all the people on the street to laugh. I go in and find out that my timing is off. My parents are already married and my oldest brother Robert is already alive. It is confusing because he seems to be older than he should be.
(I have images and such running in my head now but everything is jumbled)
I can really only remember the end where I have explained everything to my parents and my brother. I talk about what the future would be like, and that they have 3 more kids and other things. Something happens and I go to Robert. In my future he ends up a drug addict and then dies. I love him and do not want that to happen. I find out that my dad had an affair and got a young woman pregnant. She has been seeing Robert and they plan to run off. Also my dad has just asked for a divorce from my mom. In my future Robert at this point confronts our dad and he begs him to stay with mom. Dad agrees but only if Robert dumps the woman who is carrying dad's child. This is what causes Robert to turn to drugs and eventually it kills him. I go to Robert and then Mom telling them about the future and such.
In the end I actually tell Robert to not give in to Dad's demands and that I love him and want to see him live even if it means I will not. I also tell Mom to get the divorce and live. I start to fade and get to see the new future of Robert and Denise (I think that was her name) grow old together with happy healthy children. I also get to see Mom leave Dad and go out to become a successful business woman instead of a bitter old hag. She is happy. I smile as I blink out of existence.
There was another dream where I was talking about exercise and saying that the gazelle is a piece of crap, and I prefer the elliptical trainer and DDR. I mentioned wanting a polar elliptical machine, but not having over $4,000 to plop down on it. Weird.
Ok, time to get back to bed. I just had to try and get some of this down before it left.
