Daily Dose

demarianaLast night my dad came over to pick me up and got a quick tour of the house. He thought it was nice. We then headed over to my brother's to have dinner and hang out some. I got to see my 2 nieces. They were cute. La had a screaming fit at one point. She did not want to do something for some reason and got really upset. EG was just cute most of the time. I got to feed her. La is 3 years old and Eg is going to be 1 this month. Eg is such a butterball. *grins* We had a good dinner and some small chatting. Nothing much to talk about though. I caught my dad up on some of my life with the new job and such.
Today the Direct TV installer showed up and he took his time and got everything hooked up very nice. He was here from 10-3:30 or so. We now have 3 tvs hooked up on satellite and the guy did not even have to drill a hole from the outside to get into the house. He used holes that were already around. Very cool. When I got home I was able to call and cancel Dish Network. I was on hold for a long time, and then they had to transfer me to an 'account specialist' and that put me on hold even longer. They tried to give me a 5 day hold to compare the 2 systems side by side. I them informed them that we already took the dish off the roof. *grins* She lost her place in her prepared speech at that point. *giggles* She then set up to cancel it for today and we will be getting a credit back on the credit card we pay with.
Today was a slow day at work. I did get some weird long calls. One guy I did feel very sorry for. He is a very proud old man. A person who has always paid his bills on time and in full and is now having a very hard time and not wanting to ask for help.
We are going to get a home energy audit in July. Maybe it will help us save some money on our utilities. Saving money is always a good thing.
We went out to dinner tonight to celebrate the new satellite. We got to play some games at Trumps. It was fun I think. Caritas came in first one game and I came in first the next. Food was pretty good as well.
Time to start getting ready for bed. Tomorrow is FRIDAY!
