Meijer Trip

demarianaIt took Caritas and I about 2 hours to go through the whole store and find things we wanted to get. We have not done a trip like this in about 2 months or so. Mostly lately we have been going and just getting what we need. This felt so good to go and do. We go to the checkout with 2 baskets at about 8:30. I was getting alittle worried when the total before coupons was over $250. I did not have to worry. The coupons started and the money came off. It was triple coupons this week. :)
By the numbers:
Spent: $142.27
Saved: $215.64 ($86.77 ad + $128.87 coupons)
158 items.
59% savings and 90 cents an item. Not too bad to get a nice stocked up freezer for lunches, many snacks, and food for meals for 2 weeks I think based on Caritas's meal plans. She has started to cook more, and she comes up with cool meal plans for each night.
Now it is time to try to find space for all the food. :)
