Today is being a good day. I am thinking about my new year's resolutions and trying to decide if I am going to have any. I always seem to have the one of lose weight. I think I need to branch out more and find something else as a resolution. I need one I can stick with. *grins*

Maybe I will try to do an insightful post a week. Or be more open in my posts. Or read more.

I am just not sure what I want to do.

I could do one of the ask me anything polls. That is an idea.

Hey friends, tell me some of your new year's resolutions that do not focus on weight. Please??

I'm not sure if this counts because it's weight-related, but not lose-weight specific, but I'm going to try to a) get to the gym at least twice a week, and b) drink at least *some* water every day, even if it's only 8 ounces. :)

It is not fully related, but I am glad you mentioned your resolutions. I seem to always have the exercise more goal each year. Once I get started I enjoy it, but getting started is the problem.

I have two big goals for next year that aren't weight-related (though I've got the usual weight one too).

First, I want to get the house CLEAN, including throwing away/giving away/selling a lot of our stuff (the main reason it doesn't stay clean). This is obviously not going to happen overnight, but will be a process to work on next year.

Second, get our budget to the point where we are doing less living paycheck-to-paycheck (though that will take a while) and start actively paying off debt, instead of just the minimums on everything, plus be more consistent about savings.

Our goal here is to eat out less which will so help with the money flow. I like the idea of cleaning. Getting the basement organized and such would be a great thing here to get done.

2nd note, you can use my name in your journal if you are talking about a post you responded to. I do not mind. The only time it might be a problem is if you are referring to a locked post.

Mine is to not procrastinate nearly so much and get stuff done when it needs to get done.

That sounds like a good one. My problem is I start something and never seem to finish it. It is annoy to see half finished projects all over the house. I think I need to work on finishing what I start. Thanks for getting my mind working on ideas.
