A bunch of stuff

demarianaWe have been very busy. Friday night Caritas, Phaeton and I went to Lowe's and purchased a range and a door. I got confused and thought that the free shipping meant it was free. I did not realize that there was a mail in rebate I would have to do to get the free shipping. I basically sweet talked the guy adding the Door to our order to remove the shipping. *grins* We then went up to the registers and checked out. After ringing us up the cashier gave us the mail in rebate form, and that is when I realized my mistake in thinking it was an instant rebate. I mentioned that the shipping was waived, and did not take the rebate form. I also emailed Lowe's from the website explaining what had happened, and that I did not want either of the sales people to get in trouble for my mistake. I felt better after emailing.
We got home with nothing, since both were going to be delivered. Next was getting Jeshua from work and bed.
Saturday: Wake up to drive Jeshua to work, and then home to take Caritas on some errands. We got our errands done and then headed home to wait... and wait. The Lowes people had called about 7:30am to let me know that we were 8th on the list (We're #8 We're #8). I was sitting in Jeshua's room with him when they called. I said to the driver, so you have the range, door and cord right? He confirmed having those 3 items, and then I hung up. I turned to Jeshua and was like oh no, I am sorry, it was suppose to be a surprise and we got you one too. He was confused. He responded by saying that he already knew we were getting the stove, and what did I mean we got him one too? Did we get him his own little stove? Cool! I then realized he might have heard the word Door in the list but it did not click that it was going to be a door for him. He repeated the list for me, and I bullshitted something about the door for the range is shipping separately, and that what I meant to say was that I am sorry he was not in on the decision of the stove too. I so played it off. *grins*
Lowe's truck got here about 11:30 and loaded in the door and the stove. It is NICE! I got out the instructions and started reading some. We had to wait till the thing got to about room temp because just using it could have cracked the glass top. It had been in a cold truck for hours. While waiting Caritas and I decided to go out and do some shopping. I am so not in the holiday mood this year. I think I have gotten something for everyone now. I probably will not get the things I ordered in time. I wish I could find a calendar with Koalas on it. I should have thought of it earlier and then could have gotten it from amazon or something. Now the shipping is too much to get it here in time. Oh well. I did find my mom a couple of shirts. I also plan to go to Kmart today.
I got Jeshua from work at 2pm, and we came home. We walked in the front door and Jeshua mentioned he had to go the bathroom. I said no, you have to see the stove first. :) I yelled down to Phaeton to get his ass upstairs. Then had Jeshua look at the stove. The door we had bought for Jeshua was blocking the bathroom. When Phaeton got upstairs I let Jeshua go, and he headed toward the bathroom to be surprised by the early gift. *Grins*
Last night was spent trying to install the door. It has been interesting. We also decided to tackle ripping up the carpet that is down in Jeshua's room. That project is almost done. *grins* The door still needs some work. Old houses and projects make for interesting discoveries and scratchings of heads. The floor project has been fun. We found a live outlet under the rug. It has been covered with electrical tape.
Time to head out and take Jeshua to work. I might write more later.
