Sunday Brain Dump
Oct. 2nd, 2022 10:16 am Today is my last group meeting for my class. Of course the flake is not going to show up. I need to adjust his peer review and resubmit. He was a joke. I think the 3 of us did really good on the last part and I had fun sourcing the parts for our candle. I still have to take the final test. There were 5 tests in a 7.5 week class. UGH! I took one yesterday but not sure how I did. I think I did ok.
Today I went at 9am to CVS and got my covid booster and a flu shot. I looked at my vaccine card and realized that I had my first booster exactly a year ago on 10/2/21. Kinda cool.
Titanhoss and I are going to a board game convention Oct 7-9. I get to demo Steve Jackson Games again! We have reserved a room for 2 nights. I am just hoping my knees do not give me too much of a fit. I requested a first floor room at the hotel. I probably should discuss with my doctor about a disabled hang tag. I am planning to make it a goal of 2023 to get at least one knee done. They have talked about burning out the nerves and I am just not sure about that. Why would I not want to feel if there was something wrong?
Work is work but it is going ok. Hate that we are still in limbo about coming back in the office. It is very stressful. Make a decision and stick to it. Per Bloomberg Amazon is closing all but one of their call centers and moving everyone to be work from home. I do think if the big companies (google, amazon, etc) make work from home their default then other companies will follow suit. Now I wish I could move to a 4-10hr days. Would make doctor appts so much easier.
Speaking of doctor appointments: I need my yearly check up, an eye appt, a mammogram, and some others. I also need to see the dentist. I have most scheduled just not close. I may see about scheduling a knee appt as well. Probably not till 2023. Oh yeah cant forget the colonoscopy. Hate that most of my vacation time is used for doctor appts or because I am sick.
Ok, trying to think of something upbeat or happier to end with. I am excited about going to the con. My kitty Strife is now over 21 years old. (he is the one in my icon, where he 'caught' a mouse) Guess that is about it. Hope this booster does not throw me for a loop.
