Productive Day
Jun. 28th, 2008 11:20 pmToday lots of things happened at all about the same time. It was suppose to be staggered but that was not to be.
1st: Went to lunch w/ mom at 11am at Flag Fork for her birthday. Yummy! I gave her our small table top shredder for her birthday. We got a big one and did not need the small one anymore. I think she will like it. I think my brother is going to take the small student desk we have.
2nd: Satellite installer guy shows up about 11:30 when he was suppose to come between 12-4. We upgraded to have HDTV in the living room and moved the receiver from the living room into Jeshua's room so now we have 4 rooms w/ satellite. (Direct TV) We figured since we had to get a new TV we might as well upgrade as well. It is cool! BTW can anyone use a non-HDTV direct TV dish?
3rd: Our coffee table showed up about 1pm. They had called on Friday and said between 11-2 so that was on time. The satellite guy was still here as well since there was lots of new wires to be run. He had to put the new dish in a different spot than the old one because of a tree and it is bigger.
We still have to put together the coffee table, but that should not be a problem. I think Phaeton and I will do that tomorrow.
Phaeton and I went and saw Wall-E tonight and it was so CUTE!! I really enjoyed the Pixar Short as well. We had dinner before the movie at Jimmy Johns. I think I like it the best out of like Subway and Quiznos. If I want a hot sub I will go to Penn Station everytime though.
In other news I submitted my name to a job internally that would be a nice change. It seems that many are jumping ship. I keep being told that they can see me in a higher position and that there is room in collections for advancement, but yet others get moved to things before me. I just feel like I am being told conflicting things.
So I am a neopets addict like a couple of other on my friends list. This year was the first time I signed up for the Altador Cup though. It has been fun so far playing the 3 games and trying to help my team with the Cup. My problem is the rankings. I did the math and if I played only 1 of the games to get to the highest rank I would be playing a minimum of 100 hours. Each game is 3 minutes long and you have to win 2000 games to get to the highest rank of 20. Yes this is over a couple of weeks, but still that is ALOT! There are some that are already at 20. WOW! I just made 2nd rank. (100 wins)
So the last thing I think we really need for the living room is an area rug. We need something 10X7. We have looked online but both Caritas and I want to touch the rug and see it in person before getting something.
Guess that is about it this Saturday evening. Soon it will be time to crash.
