Jeshua called soon after going out to say that the Corolla would not start. Phaeton and I headed out to waffle house with the Camry so we could jump the car. That went pretty good. Jeshua then took the Camry to school so we could go and get a new battery. Valvoline stated that there would be about a 30 minute wait so we decided we could go to McDonalds and get some breakfast... that became a bad idea.  We ordered and paid, and then got to the pick up window... As our food was being handed out the car DIED. I quickly moved it into park to try and restart it. Nadda! Suddenly one of my worst fears has come true... broken down in a drive thru lane. The embarrassment and horror. Then the lovely bitch of a manager was like... Move the car. That is when I found out that we could not get it out of park no matter where the key was or if the brake pedal was pressed. In doing a web search just now there is away, but it involves getting to the little button on the shifter panel. At the time this was going on I was starting to freak too much to think about that. A very nice guy came out of McDonalds to try and help. As he was at the passenger car door he was like do not cry on me, we can get this. At the same time the manager was like I am going to have to call you a tow because I need you out of my drive thru lane. Get this car out of here. The other employee is what kept me from bursting into tears at this point. I was like we have cables if someone could bring their car we can be out of the way faster than you can get a tow. I can just not get it out of park. I do not know why it will not shift. The same guy went and got his car and pulled it up and wow a jump started the car. He came up to the passenger side of the car and winked at me, getting me to smile a little and calm down some. I thanked him and then we were on our way with our food and went straight to Valvoline, do not pass go do not collect $200. They were just letting one person out of the bay when we got there. We pulled in and ate some of the breakfast while they changed the battery. Now I will be paranoid for a bit until it goes a day or 2 without any problems. I feel so embarrassed and probably will not be coming to that McDonalds much anymore. Well it is a way to stop eating out fast food as much. *weak grin*
