Doctor Visit
Jan. 25th, 2008 10:34 pmMy appointment was for 3pm. I got home at 5:50. I only saw the doctor for at most 15 minutes. She had to go and deliver 2 babies. I was already in the exam room when she was called away. I was advised that I could reschedule or wait, and she would be back. I have to take vacation time to do this so I said I would wait. She wants to see me back in 3 months. I was able to schedule the follow up on the same day I am going back to see my GP doctor for a physical. I also get to do the yearly girl exam on the same day. April 18th. I think a full day off will be in order on that friday. I realized though that I do like the doctor so did not mind waiting since I had a book. I really do not like her nurse though. She is a dingbat.
So that was part of my 1/2 day today.
The other part was getting 2 tires put on the Corolla. That was pretty painless. Ken Towery can also fix the driver side door handle that stopped working on Saturday. It broke. They have to order the part, but it should be in on Monday. Jeshua has the day off that day so he can take it down and get it fixed.
The 1/2 day that I was at work was interesting since we have a new phone system, Cisco. We had training, and today it started. It was not too bad. I had fun with it. I knew I would learn lots more with actually doing than what I 'learned' in the 3 hour training class. It has all sorts of bells and whistles and does basically the same thing the previous phone did. Now my extension is 6 digits instead of 4. One new cool thing is that our offices in MA have the same system, and we can now dial their 6 digit extension to get people instead of having to dial the toll free number and waiting, and waiting. That is one big advantage. Soon other parts of the business will be in the same system and we will be able to call them the same way.
