The Y and other things
Jan. 23rd, 2008 10:18 pmI went on Monday and did 40 minutes of cardio. I did 15 minutes on one machine, 15 on another and 10 on a third since it was crowded. It was not till the last one that I was able to get on the Precor that I like. It was cool to try out some other things and not die. *Grins* One of the 15 minutes was a treadmill. I am such a slow walker.
Tuesday I went in at 6:30 for the class even though it was snowing. It was a really good time. I like doing different things and can feel myself getting stronger already.
Tonight I packed my bag up for tomorrow morning's strength training class. I have a 1/2 day on Friday and plan to go and work out some before heading to a doctors appointment.
3 of my goals:
Be off high blood pressure medication by the end of the year
Do not get winded going up a flight of stairs
Take my meds regularly and on time. (3 in the morning, 2 at lunch, 1 at dinner)
I do not have a weight goal even though I am on a community called
100pounds2lose At this time I am going in to the gym and at home and looking at the scale. I ask myself each time before I step on if seeing a number will make me depressed and/or think about just quitting. If I answer yes then I just do not get on the scale. This is working. Now Friday I will have to see the number since I will be at the doctor. I think it will be fine though.
My food diary is going on day 25. Longest in awhile that I have kept it. For once it is not stressing me out. If I eat it I write it. That is about it. If I know the calories I write that as well. If I do not it is ok. I am also making sure that I take all my meds by writing those down as well. It use to be that the only medication I could take on time every day was my birth control pill. All the other pills I was on I just skipped about 1/2 the time. That is changing.
Ok, time for bed.
