Weekend Where did it go?
Mar. 12th, 2006 03:34 pmSaturday was an interesting day with lots of running around at times and some nice down time. First I got an oil change for Carol, the corolla. Next up was heading to Turfland Mall with Phaeton so we could stop in at a MDA function and also get out and wander. He got to meet 3 of my coworkers and then we hit some of the stores. The Silver/southwest store that use to be in Woodhill center years ago has reopened in the mall. He has small amount of stuff, but I found 2 pairs of earrings and a beautiful necklace. Purrr. I got to wear all of it to the party last night. But back to the day. We went to wander some more and Phaeton found a gaming book at Walden and picked up a Border's free rewards card. He also scored with the claw machine and got 2 cheap watches for his 50 cents. The claw hooked both of them. It was cool.
After Turfland we headed to Lexington Green and went to Tony Roma's for lunch. YUM! Then we went and wandered into Joseph Beth. I was good and did not get a thing. Phaeton found another gaming book so he was a happy camper. We were going to go to Cold Stone Creamery for dessert but they were not open yet. We even tried to kill some time in Compusa but nothing called out and my heel was really starting to hurt at this point. We headed out and I stopped at Lexington Beauty College to see if they had any openings but alas none, so we came home. I chit chatted online some and got a nap before heading out to get my hair trimmed at Supercuts. I also picked up some shampoo and conditioner. We shall see how it works.
Home again for another short nap and then time to get ready. I put on a really nice shirt and go all dolled up for Ka's party. I just wanted to feel pretty. Phaeton and I headed out to dinner first and of course I spilled grease on the shirt. I ruin more shirts with grease stains from food. I try really hard to be careful. Why in the world did I pick Penn Station? Oh yeah I love the Philly Cheese Steak. We stopped at home I changed into another shirt. We then headed out and then I remembered that it might be cool if Phaeton brought some of his art. We turned around and headed back home for him to quickly get his art books.
Finally we go to the party at about 9:20. Lots of people already there. I drank some of my 20oz of Diet Coke and then added 2 shots of Spiced Rum. Yummy. That was my drink that basically lasted me the night. It was really cool seeing a bunch of the furs. Some I could have done without seeing, but was enough people there to avoid those who I did not want to see. There were a couple that I was really glad to see. Phaeton got to show off his art to some people and that was cool. I got up the guts and did some DDR which was interesting. My knees are paying for it today. The pads just did not want to register steps so I kept trying to hit harder. Not good.
Phaeton left early and Kilroy was kind enough to give me a ride home not much after Phaeton left. I did hear about a new D&D game that I need to find out more about. I also got to snuggle and just be silly which was lots of fun. I got to know a couple of furs alittle bit better, even if one was really drunk. *giggles*
Sleep happened relatively quickly once I got home. Pleasant dreams and all that. This morning the storms woke me up. Just as I was thinking about turning off and unplugging the computer a strike happened that caused it to flicker. That settled it and the computer got turned off for a bit. Not much happened today. Returned library books, Jeshua got us Wendy's for lunch, thinking about a nap, talked online, and helped out at home some. Guess that is about it.
