Daily Dose
Jun. 19th, 2004 03:07 amI have been sleeping on and off since about 10:30 tonight. Figured I would write some about what has been going on and then play some games. I wish I could go for a walk, but that is the one thing one does not do in my neighborhood late at night. Maybe if I had someone to go with it would be different. Both of the guys are asleep and for once they are not snoring so I had to reassure myself they were still breathing. Caritas is in Louisville. She caught the bus Friday afternoon to go down and help her mom. I will be heading out to pick her up on Sunday. I took a 1/2 day and was able to see her off on the bus which was nice. I am glad I took the 1/2 day since I have not been feeling well at all.
The freezer is back and working. It was still under warranty and we did not have to pay a thing. This is a good thing. We are trying to get our spending under control. I am a big one with credit cards. 3.5 years ago I was credit card debt free due to going through Consumer Credit Counseling, and now have about $10,000 in debt again. What fun. I am going to apply for 2 very low interest rate cards for balance transfers and then get rid of the high interest rate cards. I have never done that before. Caritas has been working on a budget and some strategies to handle this. I like her ideas and we plan to start on July 1st with the next set of bills. We will get one of the credit cards paid off this month. It only has $140 left to pay. I also canceled the paper and my Y membership which will save us some money each month.
I have many things running around in my head but not able to put them into words. Worried about people in my family, and friends. Hoping things will work out.
I think I will play some computer games before heading back to bed.
