Ouch

We drove to work today with Melodie in the car. He sat on me most of the way. When we got to work I got out with him in my arms and showed him off to 2 of my coworkers. They oohed and ahhed. :) Then they headed inside as I turned to put him back in the car. I went to step off the curb and missed. My foot turned down and then I went down still holding Melodie. My knee hit the ground and my ankle turned. I was able to keep Melodie from bolting though and got him back in the car. I got into the car as well and raged some from the pain. It slowly faded and I was able to get out of the car and head into work. I think I can last the day. *fingers crossed* I have sprained my ankle many times, and this does not feel as bad as those times. I have to go check my knee soon though. I think it will depend on if anything starts to swell. I am just so glad Melodie did not take off. That would have sucked.

Just my dumb luck.

*UPDATE* Knee is slightly red and skinned but no blood. I can walk with little pain. I took 2 tylenol for the swelling just in case.

Daily Dose

My ankle is swollen alittle, but definitely not as bad as it could have been. *thanks the goddess* I think the only reason it swelled as much as it did is because I was sitting all day and could not prop it up much. My knee hurts some as well as my wrist. I probably should be propping up the foot and not typing, but I am stubborn. *grins*

Today was what the fuck happened to this account today at work. I swear I had 3-5 accounts that took way too long to figure out just what happened to make it be the colossal cluster fuck it has become. Is the utility on or off, customer says one thing, account says another. Hell most people called in not knowing their account number it seemed today. What fun. I had a 30 minute call yesterday that kept me online till 5 instead of 4:45. I felt happy though when I finished because I was able to explain everything and calm the customer down so she was happy. Today I had a 30 minute call that left me frustrated and pissed with the service techs and with the customer who could not understand me. Each day is an adventure.

We need to buy toilet paper. Only 2 rolls left. :) Like anyone else is interested in this. *grins*

I of course need to study ads and get coupons cut out. I had an idea to propose a savings column to the paper. I would ask to get ads on the Wed before they come out and then write my column to be published in the Sunday paper. Another idea that I will probably not follow up on. I still would love to do shopping for people, but no time.

Ok, time to get some things done. We just got back from having ok chinese food. It was not busy, so food had been sitting awhile.

Poker, I mean PoKeNo Night!

I would like to start a gaming night on Mondays from 6:30-?? I was thinking maybe 2 times a month. It would be a time to watch money change hands and gossip fly. :)

My mom gave me her Pokeno game and I would love to have others over to play. I enjoy playing at family dinner with Caritas's family. I figure 5-10 people will hopefully come each time. We could also try out other games like regular poker or if anyone knows Bunco?

Reply if you are even vaguely interested. I think it would be good to start after the first of the year.
