We got home about 4:30am. Kitties were happy to see us. Flopped into bed and slept. Of course my body decided I needed to be up at 8:30 or so. Maybe it was 8. I was none too happy. I have read back 240 messages. Mostly skimming.
Con was pretty good. The feeling is different now though. I kept looking around for 'old timers' and they were not there. It is becoming almost a newbie con I think. I missed L, OF, P, R, WK, DH,and others. I kept wondering where they were. Stuff was once again too spread out it seems. When TC mentioned that the attendance was over 400 I kept thinking, well where were they then? It also seems that something bad happens each year to someone. This year it was a car getting stolen and money being stolen. *shakes head* I will probably write more specific concerns out for the mfm community or the email list. I at least didnt have a melt down as I am prone to doing on Sunday. I was able to recognize the untrue conclusions I was making up and counter them. I took deep breathes and just tried to relax.
I got a knife, a t-shirt, a photo album, and a jewelry box at the con. I spent most of my money on stuff from the TigerHaven booth. The con raised over $10,000 for the cat sanctuary. That was awesome. I was worried that with the economy the way it is the con wouldn't make more than it did last year. But that was not the case. *grins* Jeshua also got me a really really cool book at the auction. *sighs* The auction. Our first date 3 years ago. *grin*
We get home to happy kitties and mail. We got a bunch of coupons. That was cool. The annoying thing is that the electric company is saying a check was returned. I am going to try and talk them out of the fee tomorrow. I tried to pay them online and something happened. I believe it is because they have a new system, and I should not have to pay the fee. We shall see.
Today we need to return the rental car. I am thinking about suggesting we go to a movie or something. I know I need a shower and hopefully some food.
