I should be asleep in bed right now.
Instead lets do a daily recap

-Hardly worked. Head still hurting most of the day. I came home for the first half and slept from 10am-12:30. Woke up and was shaky.
-Went back to work for 2:45. Very long 2nd half, even with 45 minutes of surplus
-worked on the application some more, need to call on monday.
-Jeshua picked me up and we stopped at the mall then over to Rusty
-got 7 books at Rusty Scabbard. All from the $6.66 sale. We are set on mind eye theater books. Now to make a character.
-played Cribbage on Furry Muck and won the best 2 out of 3 for the first round of the December Tourney. I have to wait and see who I play next.
-had waffle house for dinner. Pretty good
-tired now, but not sleepy
demariana: (snow)
-drive Jeshua to work
-pick out a tree
-rest
-relax
-go to LARP

Not much planned for tomorrow. That is a nice change I think. We might try and get the 2 light switches that are bad changed out. It means shutting off the power on 2 circuits. We shall see. The tree will go up on sunday afternoon. Wish I had gotten the cheaper ticket to southern lights. We could have gone on sunday. Maybe next saturday. That would work I think. Oh wait, Phaeton has to work OT next saturday and sunday. *sighs* Too much thoughts right now, my head hurts and is swimming.

demariana: (holiday)
Today we got the tree. Phaeton and I headed out to some places after dropping Jeshua off at work. The first kroger's we drove by had a sucky selection, so we went driving down the street. I zoned out so I passed the winter wonderland on Broadway. I think the Goddess was telling me to try the other Kroger's. We went to the Bigger Kroger on New Circle and found the perfect tree. It is alittle small, but fits perfectly in the space we have for it. The branches are spread out enough so that you will be able to see the ornaments on it. *sighs* And the smell. It had to be a Fraser Fir. I dont like Douglas Firs. I like the shorter needles on the Fraser even if they are alittle bit more expensive.

We got it home and then Caritas and I headed out to do some shopping. We got some breakfast at Burger King then headed back to the Kroger's because they still had their gas cheap ($1.15 with the plus card) SCORE!!! I topped off the tank since we are going to Louisville today. We went into Kroger and got some milk and bread since they have the half gallons at $1 each. On the way home we stopped at The Dollar Tree. I got a cool 30" round inflatable edged mat to go under the tree stand to protect the floor from spills. Another SCORE! I blew up the mat and then we got Phaeton to come up and trim alittle bit off the bottom of the tree and some of the branches. He brought it inside and we shoved it into the stand. We tightened the screws and Voila the tree is UP!

I love my tree stand. It was one of the first things I purchased for the holiday season when I got out on my own. I got it a Woolworth's that was going out of business. I think it might have been in the middle of June and just had to get it because it was so CHEAP. 2 years ago we got a tree that didnt fit into the stand well and we actually had to rope the tree to the wall, or it would have fallen down. *Grins* Last year we didnt get a tree, and I think that is one reason I didnt get into a holiday mood as much. Plus not having any money.

The cats are fascinated with the tree. I have placed some aluminum foil around so they wont drink the water that is in there. I added some tree preserver to the water to help the tree stay healthy till we decide to take it down. I really dont want a fire hazard.

We will decorate the tree tomorrow when some of the branches have settled. I can start wrapping gifts now since I have a tree to place them under. *giggles*

I am happy girl!
