Another shopping trip

I headed to Meijers today in the snow to get some of the things that are on sale and that I have a coupon for. I told myself we didnt need the food, and that I shouldnt go. I just couldnt let the deals/coupons go by. I know we will eat what I got since some of it is stuff I only buy when on sale with a coupon. Too expensive any other way. I am talking about TGI Friday frozen snacks and poppers. I did stay under my budget of $50 so that is GREAT. I was over $50 before coupons which was also good since I have a $5 off $50 coupon. So I had to really keep track today. Onto the numbers:
Paid $43.72, Saved with coupons and ad, $35.80 a savings of 45%. I got 57 items so 77 cents/item. Not bad for a quick run.

Spending Holiday Money

Today we went out to Fayette Mall and spent the GCs that my brother gave us for X-mas. I of course wanted to hit Waldenbooks. That is where R and I spent our $15, plus my $5 coupon and of course I have a walden card. Then there was the buy 3 Bargain books get one free. We ended up with 7 books for about $30 bucks. Not bad. D couldnt find anything he really wanted there so we wandered the VERY crowded mall a bit. He headed off to Electronics Boutique. There he found some software that he cant install because he is building himself a new computer in like 4 days, and why add software just to remove it. *grins* He has gotten 3 pieces of software for the holidays and all are in the same boat. He is really really really wanting to add these to his system. Silly. Maybe I can talk them into playing a tabletop game of some sort soon. *grins* With R being sick, maybe I can actually win one.
