I hate DVD players

Well, first we got an off brand APEX from kmart and it went along fine, for about 4 months. 1st the remote started to go, then the rest of the stuff. Couldnt read disks. I returned it, (extended warranty) and then got a Phillips DVD player. Last night it wouldnt send out the info to the TV. We havent changed a damn thing with the connections or anything. This BITES. The audio out works to the stereo. The in works on the TV. We changed cables. Still NOTHING. I called Phillips and they informed me that if I send back the product and a check fro $79.95, they will send back a replacement. Of course I have to pay to ship it too them. Yeah right. I wil just buy a new DVD player. that would make 3 DVD players in 2 years. This bites. Any suggestions? I am out of ideas.

Cute Kitties

The kittens got home fine last night, and they were so up and ready to go this morning. So I have let them out of the cage. They have eaten some, and tonight will get their normal food. .I think it is cool that instead of sutures or staples they used super glue to bind the cuts from the surgery. *grins* Right now both kittens are up on my computer desk just wrestling. I had to take Melodie to the vet today. They think his sores are a flea allergy, so having to get frontline for all 4 cats. Plus they put him on an antibiotic because he felt warm. The vet COULD NOT get near him. Hissing and being a general butthead. She didnt see any ear mites when I turned back his ear for her to look in. I dont know how I am going to handle tues when I take all 4 cats to woodstock spay and neuter clinic to get 2 tested for FeLV, (the adult cats)and then get the kittens vaccinated for FeLV as well as get Dustbunnie her yearly shots. Melodie doesnt need any shots, but really want to get him tested for FeLV. I honestly dont know their status on it. I am almost 100% certain neither Dustbunnie nor Melodie have it, but want to be sure.
That be the kitty update. :) Now it is time for a nap.

Coupons!

I went shopping today at meijer with ladypeacem and we had a blast. She did alittle bit better than I but then I was buying some expensive shit. Like feminine hygiene products. Got all stocked up. I spent $76.95 and with coupons and sale I saved $87.70. Savings of 53%. I got 105 items, so average of 73cents an item. I am happy camper. Now with pantry/freezer/fridge full of food we are heading out to eat as a celebration. One reason we have so much food is that we go out to eat ALOT. I didnt buy all that much pasta this time. Ladypeacem did have some nice $1 off 5 boxes of kraft Mac-n-cheese, so got those for 40cents a box. The only slight annoyance was that the 8 pack of eggs did not make it home. The cashier forgot to put them on the cart. It was only 60cents so no biggie. I did have them price match 7 things. I love that they do that.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am just glad I have 2 days off on a row.

Personal Thoughts and Musings

There are some LJ users that I read and would love to get to know better. I have even added some as friends. Others I go to friends of friends to read. Now I know alot of time there is more going on because of reading about a locked post in another person's journal. Or going to someone's memories list and trying to read a poem and finding out I am not allowed to read it. That is kinda annoying that it is listed if it is not for the public. I wonder why they get listed, but that is getting alittle off track. I have at times commented on some of the posts. Just trying to be friendly, but worried that I am just coming across as a dork. I wonder at times what people who dont know me RL have seen in what I have written to make then want to read. I know that what I write here is for myself, but sometimes I just want to know what people find interesting about my life. How did I make the cut as a friend? Why havent I made the cut? I know I at times want to email and ask why someone dropped me as a friend, or what caught their eye to add me? Now these thoughts dont consume me or affect what I post. It isnt something I dwell on. They are just fleeting thoughts that wander in and out. So why am I making this post? I just felt a need. I wonder if I offended someone by a comment I made. I know I get foot in mouth disease even online. :) Now, I do like making friends here. This to me is another VR medium to make friends, and learn about people. I have used IRC,and furrymuck in the same way. ICQ is for people I already know from other places because it is more 'real'. ICQ to me is a way to get to know someone better. It is more personal than the character someone plays on IRC or furrymuck. I wish I could find others that interested me. I would love to find a couple more communities that were around interests I have, and would care to learn more about. Sometimes it isnt easy finding others. *sighs* I read about some of the LJ drama that has happened, that is happening and wonder would I care to be in that drama? Would that make me feel different or special, or attacked. I wish I could write a program to search by multiple interests. I have also thought about emailing people that I have dropped to let them know why. Or why I havent added someone. I feel that if I want to know it, others might.
Ok, now I am rambling, and not actually sure what I am meaning to say. Just going round in circles. Goodnight, sleep tight dont let the bed bugs bite.
