Another day food shopping

I did pretty good this trip. I didnt get any cans of cat food to drive down my price/item goal. I also grabbed the wrong cereal, so have to head back later and return it. I spent $56.58 and saved in coupons and ad $51.52. I got 48 items. Some of my bargains today. Cereal averaging $1.25/box. Marie Callenders meals at 56 cents a box, Stove top at 39 cents a box. I of course also left some of the ready to expire coupons around the store. I hope people get to use them since I wont.

So that has been my morning so far. Maybe I will get adventurous and actually unpack some more boxes.

We shop with the flyers but I've not seen any coupons. Where do you get yours? (keeping in mind I'm in Florida).

I am pretty envious. I took the boys to Meijers last night - spent $95, [48 items] with an additional $35 in ad+coupon savings. Of course, we bought a turkey ($16) and some spurge items (cheese $3.50, 2 eggnogs for another $3.?? and some magic cards that they still owe me for, $12) so that kind of stuff adds up quick but still... jeeze

*bowing and scraping to the goddess of coupons*

Oh and the cashier did not check the Entertainment Book coupon - used October's $5 off from the L-e book instead of my local book - so blues authorized the purchase of a THIRD E-Book since the M coupons alone pays for the cost of the book and then some.

Damn. I have forgotten to use that this month. I need to cut them all out and get them into my coupons to remember them. Maybe I can find $50 worth of food next week.
