Laundry Day

We have designated wed as laundry day. Today I all the laundry seperated into 5 loads and Jeshua has taken the first down to the basement. I am thinking we should change the sheets today as well. I really need to fiugre out a better way to store sheets. I should figure out just what we have. When the 3 of us sleep on the king sized bed we each have our own double or single sized sheet. Makes it alot easier since we are all blanket stealers. :) I have been trying to buy matching flat sheets to go with our king sized fitted ones. Plus we have the double bed downstairs, and the futon and the sleeper sofa.

But now it is time for me to take another break.

Whoa, concept...designating a regularly scheduled day to do laundry. And here I thought laundry day was when I ran out of underwear. ;) Yes, I am pathetic when it comes to laundry. One day I'll do 4 loads with no problems, other days I can't even muster up the motivation to do one.

Coincidentally, I have dubbed today laundry day as well. Not every Wednesday, mind you, just today. I really should figure out a day that consistently works for doing laundry, but that would require being organized. ;)

Have you ever checked out flylady.net? I've been trying off and on to start up with Flylady, but always get sidetracked after a day or two. It's also discouraging to me when the "zone" for the week is the room that's piled up with junk (and our junk migrates) because I think if it's going to be done, it has to be done perfectly *now* or not at all. Flylady does *not* advocate pefection, just that *something* gets done. I like the concept, I just have a hard time believing it for myself.

Anyway, I noticed that you had been talking some about housecleaning/organizing woes recently, and Flylady is one of the options out there if you want to establish routines. If nothing else, you can use her zone lists to make your own master lists of what needs to be done. Hey concept, maybe I'll do that today...if I'm sitting here thinking about housework, maybe I can make charts about housework too. ;)
