I stopped in at the closing Kmart after I went and watched spydie and minikin bowl. I picked up a couple of things, but all in all it is slim pickings. They still have about 6 of the elliptical trainers that I want. They are $90 now. Not too bad. Maybe if I dont spend much at the con. Who am I kidding I will be buying ALOT at the con.
I picked up 2 20-CD hardsided holders, some makeup, and a pocket organizer. We will see if I actually use the organizer. It has a clip to go on a key chain. Yes it is that small. They have ALOT of gameboy stuff if anyone is interested. Cables, stuff for the color game boy, cases, etc. Most of the makeup left is CRAP. Either opened or the lipstick is melted. There might be some good finds if I had the time to pick thru the stuff. I would like to get some lipstick. The store ranges from 40-70% off. I would love to go back there on thurs. :) There are only 10 days left, so they are closing on 5/31.
On Thurs, Phaeton and I, after dropping off Jeshua, plan to head to Louisville to get LadypeaceM. There is this drapery fabric store going out of business and I really really really want to stop in and just look around. Maybe I could get some nice fabric and take a stab at making some curtains. I just know if Trading Spaces was around they would love getting the cheap fabric at the store. :) It is $2 or $1/yard.

Fabric Sale?
Date: 2002-05-21 12:04 pm (UTC)Re: Fabric Sale?
Date: 2002-05-21 12:20 pm (UTC)Starr Draperies 1720 Waterson Trail in Louisville is closing out of their line of fabrics that they sold to customers. The sale has been going on for a little while but it ends the 24th. There are multitudes and multitudes of rolls left. All fabric is $2 a yard, unless you buy what is left on the roll, and then it is only $1 a yard. The rolls are incredibly long, prob 6 ft or in that area. They are open from 8am to 4:30pm. They have boxes and boxes of sample books that they are giving away.
Their phone number is 502-499-0580. You take the
waterson expressway to 64east. Go off on the Blakenbaker Lane exit, stay in
right hand lane and go to the light. that is the corner of Blakenbaker and
Bluegrass. Take a right on Bluegrass...drive a ways til the next light, and
take a left. that is Waterson Trail. Starr Draperies is the second
building on the right. Plenty of parking space.
Now done buy it all ok? *grins*

Date: 2002-05-21 01:19 pm (UTC)Oh yeah, Demariana: Even though I'd never heard of the place, my mom had, though she didn't know about the sale. Too bad it's only through Friday, and only during the day, I don't think she'll get a chance to go. :( If you go, can you pick up some sample books for her too? :)
