I'm with you on the social media thing. I have hobbies, but I do fall into the habit of social media in bad ways. I mean, I feel like writing and blogging -- chatting with people online? That's fine.
But scrolling through feeds designed to shock you or make you afraid or angry to hook you into it? Not so much.
If you see yourself as a slacker and you still got promoted, maybe a better word for yourself is "skilled and efficient."
