Deep Thoughts
Apr. 2nd, 2010 07:20 pmNow that Phaeton and Caritas have finished school we have been talking about that it is my turn. I have been thinking about what I would want to do. I told myself today that if I took a 1/2 day then I would research alternative ways to earn a teaching certificate.

The above website lists the schools in KY that have alternative routes. I would be looking at route 6. The problem is that one thing it says is that you need a job offer for this route, or you do not get certified when you finish the program. I know science and math teachers are needed, so I probably could get a job offer. It has just been so long since I have been in school or really used my math or science skills.
I tried to call 3 today and emailed 1. I know I am getting some info mailed to me from Morehead which has a mostly online program. I found the info for EKU on their website, but their next program does not start till Spring 2011. UK was the school I emailed when I did not get thru to anyone on the phone and I hope they get back with me. I am thinking about also emailing Asbury.
Certificate would take 2 years... I would be 40 then. Just also feel like I am too old, but that is another post when I work through it.
If anyone has any thoughts-comments-experience I would love to hear!
