Weekend Recap
Apr. 2nd, 2006 05:32 pmSeeing Ice Age 2 and shooting both happened this weekend. I am a happy kitty.
Ok, lets recap.
Friday- plumbers came and snaked the drains and got them in nice working order again. I was not clear with Caritas or understood the plumbers correctly so a new vanity did not happen. We so want to get rid of the pedestal sink. It SUCKs. Found out when talking to the plumber again that we would need to purchase it and then they would install it. We might be able to install it ourselves when we get one though. For date night Phaeton and I went out to dinner at Long John Silvers. No we did not plan for the fish on Friday during lent on purpose. *grins* We then wandered around Home Depot and Lowes to check out what they have for vanities, as well as the garden section to see about plants to replace the cat piss bushes out front. I think it is japanese holly that we have. I just know they smell like cat piss at times. After window shopping we got some ice cream at Baskin Robbins and then went to Hollywood video and got a movie called Siblings to watch before bed. I wanted something that would not be that brain intensive, and I screwed that up by picking this movie. The movie was pretty good but I had to think.
Saturday was relaxing for the morning. At about 3:30 Jeshua and I headed out and realized I made us late so that we were unable to get to Ice Age 2 in time. We went in and got tickets for a later show and then headed to Don Pablos for dinner. Parts were ok, but just not the kind of mexican food that we like. I enjoyed the cheese dip and the sweet corn cake. The rest of it just was eh. The tacos were lacking in the shredded cheese department for one thing. Oh well.
The we finished up and headed over to Regal. We were one of the first people into the theater which was great because I got to get my favorite spot. The lowest row of the stadium seats where the metal bars are so I can put my feet up!! SCORE!! The movie had its moments, but not as good as the first one. Scrat was really cute though and he had more face time. *grins*
Today got up about 7:30 and got ready to head out to Louisville. I got breakfast, gas and money and then hit the road blasting some music. Some good me time out driving. I met up with Kilroy at the range and had 2 hours of shooting. Lots of fun that I will probably write about more in depth in my gun filter. After shooting I drove thru McDonalds for lunch and then went to spend some time at the zoo. My boots were great for the mud and such at the range, but sucked for walking around the zoo. My feet HURT!! I got to see what I wanted to see though. First I went and saw the white alligator and the snakes. Then I wandered over to the Maned wolf and finally the snow leopard. She was so beautiful as always. I wonder when they are going to get the new enclosure for her. Seems like the upgrade was put on hold or something since they got the Gorillas. She was up against the fence which put her 3-4 feet away. One kid had a zoo key so I got to hear what was said about the snow leopards. *giggles* I only stayed at the zoo for 1 hour. Then back to the car to head home. I took off my shoes and drove home in my socks since they hurt so much. They are getting better.
There is still the possibility of seeing V for Vendetta tonight. I have to work tomorrow, and have Tues off because of the office being closed. Fun fun. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
