Telemarketers
Jan. 3rd, 2006 11:21 amI so hate the new way to get around no-call lists by having a recording call. I finally listened to it all the way thru and hit the lovely 1. The guy got on the phone and was like "mumble mumble" I stayed quiet for a sec because I had not idea if someone was there. Then was like hello, so he repeated himself with attitude. My response was in kind with only saying Put me on your no-call list. His response was, "Say Please. I will not do anything until you say Please. We are human beings here and not animals". My response was I know, I work for a call center, but I do not appreciate getting a recorded message 3-4 times a day. So Please put me on your no call list and Thank you. (to the tune of Fuck you) and then I hung up. I am usually very pleasant when faced with a telemarketer and politely ask to be put on a no call list since I have worked in a call center and totally understand. He was just Mr attitude. What I should have said was, Please let me speak to your manager right now.
Ok, time to do some DDR and get this annoyance out.
