Poem

I flip through the stations
looking for my songs
the ones from my childhood
that seems long gone
It strikes home when I scan
That I am now considered old
Since my songs are all on
the classic hits station
My movies are on AMC
The ones rated R
would now be rated PG-13
I do not feel old
yet the demographics say different
the marketing is targeting
and the ads use my songs
I admit I have used the phrase
"in the good old days"
and the one that starts
I remember when...
Yet I do not feel old
I have much life left
I will not let this affect me
I will continue to grow
I am not old
I am a classic
