Daily Dose
Apr. 24th, 2004 04:11 pmLast night was date night with Phaeton and we went out to Lowes to pick up 2 shelving units for the basement and then had a nice dessert at Baskin Robbins. The final stop was Kroger's to pick up some meals so he had something he likes for work. I think it might work to give him some money to get some frozen meals at Kroger for work each week. Sometimes Caritas and I pick out some wrong things. We got back home and went upstairs and played 2 rounds of cribbage that I lost. It was the best 2 out of 3. It was nice that both were really close.
This morning my body got me up too damn early. I wanted to get up about 6am so Caritas and I could head to Meijer, but my body got me up at 5am instead. I read some live journal and then went downstairs to vege alittle on the couch. Caritas came out soon after and we got ready to head out. We went to Meijer and spent about $40 on some Super Saturday Deals as well as some other things. We got 4 bottles of the Energy Soft Soap Bodywash for $0.99cents total. It is one kind I like the smell of. We also got some frozen chicken that was buy 1 bag get 1 free.
We got home and unloaded the small load then went to get breakfast at McDonalds. We wanted something to eat before we tackled the next area of the basement. After food Jeshua went out to get some drinks and the 3 of us went down and laid out the good tarps we got from Meijers and started to unload the basement. The unloading went very well. I then cleaned with the 3 sorted some outside. I had to be quick because I had many items to deal with in this sort. Phaeton came in after I cleaned and put together the 2 shelving units. They look good. In the end after the sort we ended up with alittle toss, a lot for the yard sale and some keep. I only kept one box of candle stuff. I made the criteria if it was partylite or not, and then if I thought I really wanted it. I only kept one holder that was not partylite. Most of my partylite stuff is upstairs already though. I need to go through it and figure out about putting it up on ebay or consignment someplace or something. There was about 4 boxes of tools, and then one other box of misc stuff to go through that we are keeping. We were done about noon. It was nice and cool unlike last Saturday. And it was great that the rain held off.
Caritas used some of her money to treat for Chinese food at a new place on Richmond Rd. It was VERY VERY good. I hope it sicks around. It is in the spot where the restaurant was that had the motto if it is not right it is free. A large group I was in once got all the meals comped because of this policy. I can not remember the name of the restaurant though.
Before we went to the restaurant we stopped off at a vacuum place and dropped of the 2 vacuums that were sitting in the basement. We have all hard wood floors and did not need these. I admitted to the guy that one may not work, and the other one is ok. I figured he could use them for parts if nothing else. I think he was pleasantly surprised at our gesture. I figure it is 2 things not in our basement and hopefully not in a landfill. After we ate we also stopped off to give presents to another store, Computer Pieces and Parts. We had a box of cords that we just do not need. Many power cords or cables. We kept about 3 of each just in case, but gave him the rest, as well as 2 maybe working printers. He puts those outside and someone usually takes them.
That is about it. I am heading out to take Jeshua to work soon. I think I will wander around the mall some. Oh yeah we got to watch the tape of Tripping the Rift and Mad, Mad House.
