Last Night
Jul. 13th, 2002 09:16 amYesterday T and her bf showed up about 8 to hang out. It was alot of fun. Good to meet some new people. We talked some and then walked to Subway where we got dinner. Wow the guys behind the counter were actually competent! I tried a new sandwich, and it was ok. The bread was getting alittle stale. We got the food to go and came home to eat and talk some more. Her bf has a MLS. That would be something I think I would love to do. *sighs* Sometimes I wonder how did I fuck up my life so bad job wise. Everything else is really really great, but my job is not a career. *shakes head* Must start to think pleasant thoughts.
After dinner we played Fluxx with the new rules and new deck I got at origins. We had all 3 new rules in play once. Very interesting. I want more of the new rules. I think I will make up some rules.
They had to head out at 10 because he has to work today. We found out we have friends and know other people. She is the one who finally got me on the lexfa email list. Not that I can keep up with the mail though.
Now it is time for breakfast. Jeshua made pancakes. :) YUM

Safe and Sound
Jul. 13th, 2002 10:33 amCaritas just called and they are safe and sound! They got into Philly about 4:30 AM and the hotel gave them the room and is only charging them for 1 night. Guess they figured they have the extra rooms, and it wasnt going to get rented that late anyway. So they got to check in 10.5 hours early. :) They have their stinkin' badges and Phaeton has already hit artist alley to start getting sketches.
Glad they are having fun. Yup, didnt need to worry. Basically it took them so long because of taking it slow due to construction.

Why do I pick movies at times that affect Jeshua so? Today it was Riding In Cars with Boys. Very heart-wrenching but at times funny film. He saw alot of his life in the movie. He sees alot of his brother, sister-in-law and their child in it. If you havent seen the movie, and like Chick Flicks I would recommend it. Left me wanting to cry and I dont cry at movies.
Now we are trying to get some cleaning done and just de-stress and calm down. Jeshua is doing the dishes. We unpacked the last box of Caritas's that goes into the kitchen, the glassware, and reorganized the cabinets. I have swept the floor and will swiffer wet it soon. Yes I am a convert and love the swiffer wet.
Well Melodie just jumped up onto a high shelf and knocked down a figurine. It can not be glued again, so into the trash it must go. *sighs* I need to find safer places. Heck the cats have never go onto the mantle. That is where alot of my candles are. They use to have easy access if they had wanted to try. I thought for sure when my desk was over there they would launch up onto the mantle. It never happened.
Ok, I wish my headache would go away. The tylenol is starting to hit it. I think I need to drink some water though. Some of it may be dehydration.

I am not going to make 1000 posts in one year. I know that in my bones. I have decided to modify my goal.
I started this journal on 9/06/2001. I want to have 906 posts on my anniversary, 9/06/2002. :) I think that is doable.
That averages to about 3 posts a day, instead of 5 posts a day.
