EWW GROSS!

I just went to open up some shredded cheese to make nachos with cheese and smelled something weird. I took a pinch out of the bag to toss down to the cats and the smell got stronger. I finally looked into the bag to see... MOLD! I then looked on the front of the package and GACKED. The date on it is Apr 7th. Yes, APRIL! I usually look at those kinds of things. I will probably head to meijer tomorrow to get my money back. They are usually VERY good at rotating stock. Someone fucked up.

Blech. I have had many problems like that at Kroger, but don't remember getting bad cheese at Meijer (maybe one time). At least you caught it before you put it on your food, I've found green *after* I put some on my dish before. Ick.

Did you just buy it? I usually only find green after it's been in my fridge for a while....
