Next up Food shopping

Or at least planning what I want to get at meijer. I need to maximize savings today though. I probably shouldnt be going at all. We only need a couple of items. I can do this though. I can keep the trip under $30. I hope. I wasnt able to get some trades done in time for this sale so wont be getting some things. I just have to rememeber things will go on sale again.

I finally found praire farm milk. Of course it is at a place that doesnt double coupons, Walgreens. Anyone know of any other place that sells it? Oh wait, maybe I should check for a website. I know it isnt at Meijer or Kroger.

I must know, as you seem to be the queen of bargain shopping. Do you make a list beforehand and get what you need, or plan your weekly menus around what's on sale? I'd like to be able to save like you do, but then I get to the store and buy whatever.

We do alot of prepackaged food. Frozen foods etc. I look at the ads on sunday and mark things that are on sale that we buy regularly and that I know I have coupons for. That is when I make my list. Trying to make sure I minimize buying anything at regular price. The stuff on sale goes thru a rotation it seems. If it is on sale this week it will probably be on sale again in about 6-8 weeks. I try to buy enough to last that rotation. Also things go on sale depending on the season. Right now it is buns, beans, cook out things. In Oct/Nov it is stuffing, soup etc.
