Zoo and stuff.

Jeshua and I went to the zoo yesterday. I had a lot of fun. I once again got to feed the Lorikeets. I enjoy having them eat the nectar and sit on my hands. One came up and was sitting on my shoulder preening my hair and then nibbling on my ear. It was so cute. I got to see the baby pygmy hippo and the baby elephant! Next Saturday my brother and one of my nieces plan to go. Then later my brother and I will go again with the other niece. I hope I can keep up with them. It should be fun. They will probably want to go on the train, tram and/or carousel. I know I will want to get them to feed the lorikeets.

So my work has started a health program. If you earn so many points in a year you can earn $200 in health credit for your health insurance. Who knew that having my job offer me money off my health insurance would get me to try and work out more. Right now we can earn points in the month of May by participating in the Chill Out Challenge. We need to earn points by doing certain things each day. Every day we have the chance to earn 4 points if we: Eat 5 fruits and veggies, Relax for at least 10 minutes, do 15 minutes of exercise and sleep 7 hours at night. You have to earn at least 80 points in the month to get the points toward your year. I think I can get 80 points. It is very doable.

A couple of weeks ago we took a bunch of books to Half-Priced books and got some funds, and then last week we took a bunch of DVDs. We are slowly working through our stuff and getting it out of the house. It is weird to see an empty shelf or 2 on bookcases. :)

Not much else is going on. Mostly work, eat and sleep. Playing neopets and other games online. Not getting out much. Beautiful weather today. We have the a/c off and the windows all open. Did get our food shopping done and then a run to good foods co-op for some things and sushi. YUM! Oh we also got a new sink installed and a bought a new microwave. The sink is SWEET.

Other bird news: We saw a rose-breasted grosbeak at the feeders the other day. Caritas got some pictures which are cool. The book says they are really only seen during migration. The summer further north, and winter further south. We also have a bird's nest in the neighbor's tree right next to our driveway. I say hello to the mama bird most days. *grins* Most of the time she is just sitting on the nest, and I assume on eggs.

That is about it I guess. Figured it was about time I did an update.
